Hotel Review: Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

An Unmistakable Icon

Marina Bay Sands is impossible to miss, its three towers topped by a ship-shaped SkyPark that has become one of the most photographed hotel structures in the world. It sits right in the heart of Singapore's Marina Bay district, an easy walk to Gardens by the Bay and a short taxi ride from Changi Airport, roughly 20 minutes without traffic.

The Famous Infinity Pool

The 57th-floor infinity pool is the main reason many travellers book here, and it genuinely lives up to expectations, stretching 150 metres with sweeping views over the Singapore skyline and the bay. Access is exclusive to hotel guests, and it can get crowded between 10am and 2pm, so arriving early morning or later in the evening gives you a much calmer, less crowded experience.

Note that the pool is not available to day visitors or non-guests, a common misconception, so anyone hoping to sneak a visit without booking a room will be turned away at the SkyPark entrance.
